School Story
Ended up at Fort Knox when my Dad was sent Fort Knox in mid-Month November 1963. I attended five high schools! Dad was sent to be cadre to train
a brigade during the Cuban missile crisis. The brigade was then sent to Fort Jackson. Dad was sent to Walter Reed in DC with a block in his main artery.
He recovered and Mom, my brother Angel and Dad went to Germany. I stayed
to go to U of K. Dad, Leonard is reaching 96 and was at the White House for the signing the Congressional Gold Medal. last week as the last survivor of the mostly 65th Regiment and served in Korea. He went on to serve 24 years in the Army. He is my hero!
